I wish I could be there, or at any other conference, but alas, money is the all encircling prohibitor. As for the scotch, I don't drink, so who am I to say one way or the other?
Ooooo! Sewanee is fun. I attended it a few years ago and had a great time. Even better, it's the only writing conference I've attended where people actually seem to be writing.
As for scotch, I'd suggest something smooth. Works better in the summertime than a more peaty scotch. The more peaty ones are for wintertime. At least that's what I've always felt.
Not a scotch drinker, but a Sewanee scholar this summer. I know of a couple more bloggers headed south in July. Ugh. Tennessee in July. Maybe it is time to take up drinking.

ReplyDeleteAh, I'm sorry Justin! I wish you could be there.
ReplyDeleteAs for the scotch...I make a mean mojito, hold the rum--totally nonalcoholic. Hope I get to make it for you sometime. = )
Laphroaig!

ReplyDeleteHope to see you there!
Alas, I'm not a Scotch drinker, but will do my best to hunt down some quality ales or at least a serviceable vodka tonic on the premises....
